APDS 34th Anniversary
Anniversary Branding · Community Event · Visual Communication
A major organizational milestone became an opportunity to put an urgent community issue at the center of the conversation. APDS’s 34th Anniversary and Breaking the Silence event united anniversary branding, domestic violence awareness, community outreach, environmental graphics, sponsorship materials, and event communications in one cohesive experience shaped for a mission-driven behavioral healthcare organization.

Project Overview
APDS has spent decades serving the Columbus community through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, addiction recovery, domestic violence intervention, and youth enrichment. Its 34th Anniversary called for more than a celebratory identity. The event needed to honor the organization’s history while drawing meaningful attention to work that often remains unseen.
Breaking the Silence placed domestic violence awareness at the heart of the anniversary experience. The visual communication had to balance celebration with sensitivity, create a welcoming community presence, and support APDS’s larger goal of connecting people with resources, advocacy, and care.

Event Identity, Invitations, Sponsorship Materials, Proposal Creative, Large-Format Banners, Table Graphics, Environmental Graphics.
The event identity was developed as a complete visual experience rather than a collection of isolated pieces. Invitations, sponsorship materials, proposal creative, banners, table graphics, and environmental applications were designed to feel connected while carrying different levels of information and emotional weight.
The creative direction balanced warmth, dignity, visibility, and community impact. The result supported a serious message without making the event feel inaccessible, giving APDS a polished platform for both celebration and advocacy.
Long-term familiarity with the organization made it possible to connect the anniversary materials to APDS’s broader mission while still giving Breaking the Silence its own distinct presence.
The selected work shows the anniversary identity moving from community-facing messaging into large-format banners, event graphics, sponsorship materials, and environmental graphics.
