Learning is one of the great joys of living. This makes the Lifelong Learning Institute at Columbus State a very happy place.
The Lifelong Learning Institute at Columbus State is a unique 'learning club'. We offer dozens of Lifelong Learning programs designed to appeal to everyone from young adults to senior citizens. You can lean everything from financial planning to conversational French to bass fishing.
The Institute offers dozens of seminars and courses on topics such as arts, science, languages, technology, spirituality, economics and world affairs. Learners can sign up for one class, or become a member to save money on multiple classes.
An 18-member advisory council helps us tailor these events to the needs of our community. The council, with the assistance of Adult Learning Specialist Dr. Christine Butler, recruits noted experts for each session.
If you need to improve some aspect of your life, or just want to learn something for the fun of it, you will experience the joy of knowledge at the Lifelong Leaning Center.
“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.” – John Dewey
