Business and Industry Training leads to New Prospects, a New Future! A skills-based training program from Business and Industry Training Services improved John Staub’s prospects at work—and set him on the path to a degree at Columbus State. Business & Industry Training Services instructor, John Pax, taught a 35-hour course at Rimrock Corporation teaching the basics of electrical work and programming to eight assembly technicians. Assembly tech, John Staub, jumped at the chance for more training, then enrolled in Columbus State’s Engineering program. “If you don’t say no to training, if you keep retraining, then you’ll never be obsolete,” Staub said. Rimrock is the kind of company that thrives on retraining. The company resells, reprograms and repairs manufacturing equipment for major manufacturers such as Honda and Caterpillar.
